Daniel practiced personal separatism when he \u201cresolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine\u201d (<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Daniel 1:8<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">). His was biblical separatism because his standard was based on God\u2019s revelation in the Mosaic law not on the laws of the land. Daniel knew that we are in the world, but not part of it.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:120}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibletools.org\/index.cfm\/fuseaction\/bible.show\/sVerseID\/28913\/eVerseID\/28916\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">2 Corinthians 6:14-17<\/span><\/b><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0states;\u00a0<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">14.\u00a0 Do not be\u00a0<\/span><\/i><b><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">bound together<\/span><\/i><\/b><i><span data-contrast=\"none\"> with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15.\u00a0 Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? 16.\u00a0 Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, &#8220;I will dwell in them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17.\u00a0 &#8220;therefore, come out from their midst and be separate,&#8221; says the Lord. &#8220;and do not touch what is unclean, and I will welcome you.<\/span><\/i><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:120}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Biblical separation does not require Christians to have any contact with unbelievers. Like Jesus, we should befriend the sinner without partaking of the sin (<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Luke 7:34<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">).<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559731&quot;:720,&quot;335559739&quot;:120}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Sometimes it can be very difficult to be around people that do not believe in our lifestyle but if we stay strong in our faith God will guide us through.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:120}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibletools.org\/index.cfm\/fuseaction\/bible.show\/sVerseID\/30566\/eVerseID\/30568\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>1 John 2:15-17<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<\/a><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">15.\u00a0 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16.\u00a0 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life is not from the Father but is from the world. 17.\u00a0 The world is passing away, and {also} its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.<\/span><\/i><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559685&quot;:810,&quot;335559737&quot;:990,&quot;335559739&quot;:120,&quot;335559991&quot;:810}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">One thing I have found very helpful when talking to others about life situations and knowing God is to refer to your own personal experiences and testimonies that relate to the situation they are in.
