Biblical separation is the recognition that God has called believers out of the world and into a personal and corporate purity in the midst of sinful cultures.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Personal separation involves an individual\u2019s commitment to a godly standard of behavior. Daniel practiced personal separatism when he \u201cresolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine\u201d (<\/span>Daniel 1:8<\/span>). His was biblical separatism because his standard was based on God\u2019s revelation in the Mosaic law not on the laws of the land. Daniel knew that we are in the world, but not part of it.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

2 Corinthians 6:14-17<\/span><\/b><\/a>\u00a0states;\u00a0<\/span>14.\u00a0 Do not be\u00a0<\/span><\/i>bound together<\/span><\/i><\/b> with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15.\u00a0 Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? 16.\u00a0 Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17.\u00a0 “therefore, come out from their midst and be separate,” says the Lord. “and do not touch what is unclean, and I will welcome you.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Biblical separation does not require Christians to have any contact with unbelievers. Like Jesus, we should befriend the sinner without partaking of the sin (<\/span>Luke 7:34<\/span>).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sometimes it can be very difficult to be around people that do not believe in our lifestyle but if we stay strong in our faith God will guide us through.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

1 John 2:15-17<\/b>\u00a0<\/span>
\n<\/a>15.\u00a0 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16.\u00a0 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life is not from the Father but is from the world. 17.\u00a0 The world is passing away, and {also} its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One thing I have found very helpful when talking to others about life situations and knowing God is to refer to your own personal experiences and testimonies that relate to the situation they are in. Every one of us has been on that side in one way or another and we must remember that regardless of where anyone is in life whether very influential or extremely poor, including ourselves, we are all the same in the eyes of God.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ephesians 5:8-12<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

8.\u00a0 For you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light\u00a0 9.\u00a0 (for the fruit of the Light {consists} in all goodness and righteousness and truth),\u00a0 10.\u00a0 Trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.\u00a0 11.\u00a0 Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them;\u00a0 12.\u00a0 For it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
