{"id":778,"date":"2021-11-20T09:00:18","date_gmt":"2021-11-20T09:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.elshaddaichristian.com\/?p=778"},"modified":"2021-11-20T09:00:18","modified_gmt":"2021-11-20T09:00:18","slug":"small-miracles-or-coincidence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reviewjob.store\/pastorglenn\/small-miracles-or-coincidence\/","title":{"rendered":"Small Miracles Or Coincidence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Looking back at my life there are so many things that have happened that I wrote off as just luck, coincidence, or I didn\u2019t even pay them any mind, but now when I look back at them I can see they really were miracles. I think one of the reasons that we are so hesitant to call something a miracle is that there is only one person on earth that can do\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">miracles and that is God. Therefore if we truly event to a miracle occurring we are also at the same time acknowledging that there is a God that has control of everything.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:120}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Let\u2019s briefly look at the definitions of the two words.\u00a0The best definition I heard was that miracles\u00a0are \u201cthe production of events which are beyond the causal powers of the natural entities existing at the relevant time and place.\u201d\u00a0Using this as the definition for miracles, a coincidence would be an occurrence that once examined, although highly unlikely, still has a logical or scientific explanation for its occurrence.\u00a0It\u00a0doesn\u2019t always come down to just possibilities. It more often comes down to\u202f<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">probabilities.<\/span><\/i><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:120}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">An example of\u00a0a true miracle\u00a0might be a cancer patient with a malignant tumor that has been aggressively growing and then suddenly is completely gone. I know personally\u00a0of\u00a0one such case\u00a0that happened to a\u00a0good friend of mine.\u00a0There is no medical explanation for it.\u00a0Medical doctors are consistently coming across situations like this that despite all their training, they cannot explain.\u00a0There were no entities active at the time and place which would account for such a thing.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:120}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The Bible is full of miracles, both in the prophecies in the Old\u00a0Testament to the miracles that were performed by Jesus and his disciples in the New Testament.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:120}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">He was just one of the prophecies explained with the probabilities;<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:120}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Psalm 22:1,8,16,18<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">&#8216;<\/span><\/i><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me<\/span><\/i><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">? &#8230; He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him,\u00a0seeing he delighted in him &#8230;\u202f<\/span><\/i><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">they pierced my hands and my feet<\/span><\/i><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u202f&#8230; They part my garments among them, and\u202f<\/span><\/i><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">cast lots<\/span><\/i><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u202fupon my vesture.&#8217;<\/span><\/i><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:120}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><i>Psalm 34:20<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">&#8216;He keepeth all his bones:\u202f<\/span><\/i><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">not one of them is broken<\/span><\/i><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">.&#8217;<\/span><\/i><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:120}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><i>Zechariah 12:10<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">&#8216;And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me\u202f<\/span><\/i><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">whom they have pierced<\/span><\/i><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">.&#8217;<\/span><\/i><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:120}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">This was prophesied about 400 years before crucifixion was even invented. Not only that, take a look at what they said about what would happen. &#8220;My God, My God&#8221;, this is what Jesus said as He hung on the cross. &#8220;Pierced hands and feet&#8221;, which depicted the type of death, i.e., on the cross. &#8220;They cast lots for His garments&#8221;, which is what the people did with Jesus&#8217; clothes. &#8220;Not one of His bones broken&#8221;, this actually went against the custom of crucifixion, but it was perfectly fulfilled by Christ as they did not break His bones because He died so quickly, instead they pierced His side with a sword.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:120}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Probability Of This Bible Prophecy Happening By Chance?\u202f<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:2,&quot;335551620&quot;:2,&quot;335559739&quot;:120}\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">= \u202f1 In 10,000,000,000,000 <\/span><\/b><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">(<\/span><\/b><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">10 trillion)<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:2,&quot;335551620&quot;:2,&quot;335559739&quot;:120}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">This is just one of\u00a0over 125 Bible prophecies concerning Christ in the Old Testament.\u00a0Nowhere in the world can we find such accurately predicted future events that come to pass\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">exactly to the letter<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">. How would these mere humans know these things unless they were inspired by a supernatural power\u00a0(God),\u00a0revealing these future events? The Bible in so many places indicates that it is of divine origin, and all the prophecies contained\u00a0in it are proof of that divine hand. To argue with this would be a denial of clear historical facts.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559731&quot;:720,&quot;335559739&quot;:120}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The bottom line is that when\u00a0one person believes an event to be unlikely\u00a0it\u00a0does not matter whether or not that person knows much about the event.
