Audible prayers are not the only way to pray. Prayer is not limited to verbalized words or prayers said silently. To me, prayer is living every day in a receptive state where we are constantly aware that God is present, listening to us, and totally aware of what’s going on in our life. In everything we do in life we need to be receptive to what God would think about it. A continual fulness of the heart is prayer when you trust and obey God.

The verse that comes to mind is

1 Corinthians 10:31

which states; Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all things for the glory of God.

In order to obey this passage, we need to be in what I call a prayerful state, always being aware of whether or not we are following God’s law. To do this to be constantly communicating with God asking Him what He wants us to do and is what we are doing consistent with his teachings. God will always let us know, sometimes by what we call a gut feeling or by some other way. Have you ever planned on doing something and really wanted to do it but found out that there are always things getting in the way of you doing it to the point that you have to cancel it? I feel that God saying don’t do it.
