The actual word was Khristianoi. It was a type of word use of political partisans and various factions among the ruling parties. It means a Christ’s person, a Messiah follower, a Messiah partisan. Christian was actually a secular word, used by secular people. That’s a good thing. Far too many people including Christians, see it as a religious word. Technically speaking one’s religion is what preoccupies one’s life. According to the free dictionary being religious means; extremely scrupulous or conscientious to a particular belief. This belief can be godly or pagan. Simply defined it can be anything that takes precedence over other things in our lives, whether it be money, sports, or anything else.

Matthew 6:24 says; “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. Could that be you? Is there a difference between the faith you talk and the faith you walk – from whom they see on Sunday morning, and whom they see the rest of the week? If you live in two worlds, that’s not Christian a true Christian is one who takes his or her faith in Christ and applies it in every realm of life.
